Librax Side Effects
May cause dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, reduced sweating, blurred vision, headache, nausea or stomach upset. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience difficulty in urination, pounding heartbeat or mood changes. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
How To Use Librax
LIBRAX: Take 30 minutes to one hour before meals unless your doctor tells you otherwise. May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Do not take within one hour of an antacid or antidiarrheal medication as effectiveness of LIBRAX will be reduced. Use LIBRAX exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not increase your dose, use it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed by your doctor because LIBRAX can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period, do not suddenly stop using LIBRAX without your doctor's approval. Over time, LIBRAX may not work as well. Consult your doctor if LIBRAX stops working well.
Librax Uses
This combination medication is used in the treatment of stomach disorders such as ulcers or irritable bowel syndrome.
Librax Precautions
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of liver disease, kidney disease, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma and of any allergies. Limit intake of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol adds to the drowsiness caused by LIBRAX. Because LIBRAX may make you dizzy and/or drowsy, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness such as driving. LIBRAX may reduce sweating which may lead to heat stroke in hot weather. Use caution engaging in strenuous activity during hot weather Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication. Use with caution. LIBRAX is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for details. LIBRAX may be excreted into breast-milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Using LIBRAX while breast-feeding is not recommended. Consult your doctor.
Librax Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially digoxin, ketoconazole, levodopa, antacids, cimetidine, disulfiram, seizure medication, sleeping pills, narcotic pain medication, medication for depression, barbiturates, tranquilizers, sedatives, antihistamines and medication for allergies or colds. Do not smoke. Smoking can decrease LIBRAX's effectiveness. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Librax Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of consciousness.
Librax Notes
If LIBRAX makes you constipated, increase your fiber intake by eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, salad, and whole grain breads. Exercise and drink plenty of water (unless your doctor informs you otherwise). Do not share LIBRAX with others.
Missed Librax Dose
If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
